Rand Water has successfully restored pumping capacity across all its systems following a recent power outage at the Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant. The power disruption, triggered by a thunderstorm, impacted several areas within the Johannesburg Metro, including South Hills, Midrand, Naturena, Berea, and Linden.
Makenosi Maroo, the spokesperson for Rand Water, conveyed their satisfaction in announcing the full restoration of pumping capacity throughout their systems. Efforts are underway to gradually replenish the depleted reservoirs. Nevertheless, the utility company emphasizes the importance of judicious water usage in light of the heightened water demand caused by soaring temperatures.
