Vrededorp, Johannesburg – October 10, 2024: For the third day in a row, Ashraful Aid’s mobile clinic continued its mission of providing critical healthcare to elderly residents, this time visiting Radio Cottage Old Age Home Village. Alongside much-needed medical services, the team went above and beyond by distributing water to the residents of Radio Cottage and other surrounding communities, including Caroline Street Old Age Village.
The elderly in these communities face severe hardships, from limited access to medical care to struggling with basic necessities like water. Ashraful Aid’s ongoing presence has become a lifeline, delivering both healthcare and essential supplies to those in need.
Shakiera Tayob, Executive Director and Chief Editor of the Fordsburg Independent, expressed heartfelt gratitude for Ashraful Aid’s unwavering support. “Jazak’Allah to Ashraful Aid for assisting the communities of Vrededorp, Fietas, and Jan Hofmeyer. Without their help, my team and I would have had to load and distribute between 250 to 350 bottles of water ourselves—sometimes making up to 8 trips of 50 bottles per load. Although my team never complains, I can see the strain it places on them. We are incredibly grateful for Ashraful Aid and their generous assistance. Allah is indeed great.”

Yesterday’s visit also included humanitarian relief efforts, as Ashraful Aid provided hot meals and water to victims of the Booysens fire and supported Fietas residents with water distribution.
The continued success of Ashraful Aid’s initiative reflects not only the compassion of the team but the immense need within the community. Their efforts over the past three days have brought relief and care to the elderly residents who are often overlooked.
As the mobile clinic continues its rounds, Ashraful Aid remains committed to bringing essential medical and humanitarian aid to Vrededorp’s most vulnerable.
